My expectation was that I'd just be doing breathing and stress-relieving exercises but it was SO much more than that. I experienced many traumas in my youth and as I struggled through my own depression, I found that coming back to the practices I learned as a child made a critical difference in my healing. I've been the person who has felt so disconnected, not good enough and not worthy enough. The years I spent as a Montessori directress set a solid foundation for understanding that my role as a guide is to set up a nurturing and safe environment for my clients to move at their own pace and have a truly personal experience. And my certification in iRest, Integrative Restoration, prepared me to work with clients that might be holding onto pain and trauma.

What to Expect After Your First Free Session
The cost can vary from coach to coach and depends on how many sessions you purchase. However, you can expect to pay approximately $60 per 30-minute session.
Number of Sessions
Typically our coaches work with a meditator over the course of at least a month, meeting one or more times per week. Some meditators continue to work with their guide on an indefinite ongoing basis.
Sessions can be any duration you prefer, with the most popular option being about 45-minutes per session. However, some meditators prefer to meet for several hours at a time so they can meditate more deeply.

Calm Scholar was started by three friends based on a common interest in meditation, self exploration, and mental health. Meditation had greatly improved our lives, and we wanted to share this important practice with others.
We realized how many truly talented meditation coaches were out there, but many of them lacked the resources to find and connect with the people they could help most. Additionally, we knew there were many people who could benefit from meditation, but lacked the support system to help them along their way. We created Calm Scholar to bridge this gap, and help more people experience the therapeutic benefits of one-on-one meditation guidance.
