I was introduced to meditation after living with severe anxiety for more than 10 years. At the time I was struggling with anxiety attacks, constant worrying, stress, overeating, drinking alcohol and having a devastating feeling of 'not being good enough'. After seeing doctors and several psychologists with no results, I turned to meditation based on a recommendation from a friend, and was blown away by the results. Calm Scholar was started by three friends based on a common interest in meditation, self exploration, and mental health. Meditation had greatly improved our lives, and we wanted to share this important practice with others.

We realized how many truly talented meditation coaches were out there, but many of them lacked the resources to find and connect with the people they could help most. Additionally, we knew there were many people who could benefit from meditation, but lacked the support system to help them along their way. We created Calm Scholar to bridge this gap, and help more people experience the therapeutic benefits of one-on-one meditation guidance.
